Greased friction bearings

When supporting a rotating object some sort of stationary/rotary interface must be provided. Be it wooden blocks greased with lard or fully ceramic ball bearings, the general principle is the same, provide a reliable radial and often axial support with the least amount of friction possible.

Even with roller and ball bearings being the most common in many technical applications, friction bearings are still as important as ever. The DIN 502 – 506 type bearings find their way into the lumber and steel mills, but also in the chemical and food industries.
